From Samui: Try Scuba Diving For a Day at Koh Tao

Never tried Scuba diving before but you would love to? Then this trip is perfect for you! The conditions are generally very good all year round making it possible for everyone to dive in Koh Tao. Aside from the natural beauty that Koh Tao offers on land you’ll find that the underwater diversity will allow you to see something completely new every day!

We’ll pick up you at your hotel in Koh Samui around 07.00-07.30 and transfer you to the pier. Hop on the boat and we’ll start our way to Koh Tao for today’s scuba diving! Once arriving, you’ll meet your instructor and fellow students for the day. Get 30 minutes basic theory about diving and after this start off by packing your equipment.

Theoretical part
You will listen to a detailed briefing by your instructor, during which you will learn the basic knowledge relating to the physics and physiology of diving and safety techniques. You will also become familiar with the equipment used during the dives and look at the skills you will need to perform.

Before heading into the water we’ll serve you a lunch, making sure you have enough energy to dive!

After lunch around 11.00 it’s time for todays activity!

Practical part
You will have to complete 5 mandatory skills at a depth of no more than 1.5 meters under the guidance of your instructor. After doing the exercises, your instructor will give you an underwater excursion.
After rest, you will make another dive (if you choose the second dive) with your instructor, to a depth of not more than 12 meters.
The duration of each dive will be approximately 45–55 minutes (excluding the time of skills practice).

(If you choose to do the second dive, which we recommend, this will take place just after the 1st dive, around 13.00. This dive has no exercise, just diving! The second dive will be at a maximum depth of 12 meters!)

If you didn’t book the 2nd dive, you will have time to just relax, swim or do some snorkeling.

At 14.45 it’s time to head back to the pier and we’ll departure back to Samui around 15.00 (back to your hotel around 15.00-16.30).
