Day 1: James Bond Island Day Tour

The activity site is approx a 2 hours long drive away from the normal hotel areas, so please aware that this time will be spent in the pick up vehicle.

Start the day at the famous Monkey cave at Wat Suwan Kuha. Because of the many monkeys in the area, the temple complex of Wat Suwan Kuha is also called “Monkey Temple” or ”Monkey Cave”. You can find a large number of connected caves within the cave, where Tam Yai is the biggest one, it is as big as 40 meters long and 20 meters wide! Here you can watch the wild monkeys, explore the temple and the cave. Among the beautiful golden buddha statues you will see an impressive 15 meters long reclining Buddha!  Take photos and enjoy this beautiful place!

When we’re finished at the cave our next stop is Phang Nga Bay National park. Here will you discover the magical Mangrove Forest with a long tail boat. We will also visit the famous fisherman village at Pan Yee island. This island is a local muslim fishing village, where about 1600 people permanently live. Pan yee island is mostly made up of huge vertical limestone cliffs. The hundreds of huts, shacks, restaurants and houses where the villagers live are built on stilts over the surrounding shallow sea, it’s certainly a fascinating and unique feat of informal engineering. The village has a school, a mosque, a health centre, lots of small souvenir shops, and a handful of large restaurants facing the Andaman Sea. You will have some time to walk around and explore the village by yourself. Here you will also be served a delicious lunch. 

After lunch it’s time for something that you don’t want to miss – James Bond Island! Discover the famous movie location from “The Man With The Golden Gun”. You will be dropped off at Kao Ping Kan Island, where you can watch the famous James Bond limestone rock, standing tall in the waters! Explore the islands and take some photos at the iconic limestone formations that rise dramatically from the waters! 

Last but not least, it’s time for some sea canoeing. Our expert staff will canoe for you to make sure you are safe, due of difficult paddling site! Soak in the beauty that Phang Nga Bay has to offer while you’re canoeing around at Talu cave.

When the day is coming to its end and you can watch the beautiful views on the way back to the pier. We will transfer you back to your hotel around 18.00-18.30!
